Wojtek Godzisz will follow up his debut EP ‘Burning Ideals’ with a new single on 22nd October. ‘The Moon And The Yew Tree’ will be available on a run of 500 limited edition 7” singles, as well as through the usual digital retailers.
Woj spent a few days in July in the studio with producer Russ Keffert (The Rakes, Clinic, Larrikin Love) and the results are, we hope you’ll agree, pretty darn spectacular. You can listen to the track now on our MP3 player over to your right and pre-order from our Shop page. Also, check out the amazing video, directed by Matthew Sanger, below!
The single is backed with another brand new song ‘Time Of The Wolf’. Go see Wojtek soon at one of his upcoming gigs:

Gum Takes Tooth's mighty second album, Mirrors Fold is out NOW. Issued on splatter coloured vinyl, CD and digitally, the album sees the forward-thinking duo delve deep into pan-ethnic drum rhythms, vibrant electronic sound shapes and whispering psychedelia.
It follows their acclaimed debut album Silent Cenotaph and new single White Fear, the second release from Mirrors Fold. With the new record comes a refinement of the band's sound and depth of production detail. It is a sonic leap forward from the out and out metal-flavoured barrage of Silent Cenotaph into more controlled and deeper, denser rhythmic soundscapes and fully-formed song structures.
White Fear finds the band at their most succinct and immediate, a psychedelic fizz and whirr of electronic hooks, warped vocals and sinewy drums.
Both are available to purchase from our store HERE

Love for Mirrors Fold:
“Striking a pleasing amalgamation between gut-screech noise, acid-bleed walls of gloopy psych and transfixing (almost tribal) rhythmic propulsions is no easy feat but Gum Takes Tooth have created such a potent concoction of these elements on Mirrors Fold that it almost feels coldly scientific.” - 9/10 Loud And Quiet album of the week
“A totally twisted genius... deftly shaped into something at once warped and weird, wild and experimental, but also totally hypnotic, and melodic, strangely lovely and in its own way, extremely catchy. A new favorite for sure. And a total shoe-in not just for Record Of The Week, but for our year end best of's too” - Aquarius Records
"A record that feels like Apocalypse Now set in Laser Quest... a battle worth fighting" - NME
“Superior, effective listening” - The Quietus
"An hour of the most pleasurable pain" - London in Stereo

Birmingham's snarling indie-punk trio Untitled Musical Project were briefly the toast of the music press and feverish blog posts upon the release of their self-titled mini-album in 2007. That's until they crashed and burned, with only a handful of recordings and a series of caustic, fearsome live shows to remember them by. With past enmities finally laid to rest (and despite an unfathomable lack of big money reformation offers), Untitled are back in action for two shows in November.

Scanners are running a remix competition in conjunction with Earmilk and Wavo. The contest winners will be included in the remix compilation for 'Love Is Symmetry' which will also include remixes by current Dim Mak artists. For more information about the contest, the deadline, the judges, and the prize system, follow the link below. Do feel free to submit more than one remix and really show us what you’re working with!
Love Is Symmetry is the third album from London quintet Scanners and their best yet, opening with the dark percussion of the title track, a song that lures you in with its whispered vocal before exploding wide open into a huge Vangelis- like chorus. Tracks such as Mexico and Charmed Life have an Arcade Fire quality, rising and falling with the energy of Sarah Daly's vocals and violin. This violin also adds richness to the epic State Of Wonder, a song about the river Lea that flows past their window in East London.
The Scanners trademark synth is also a strong presence on many of the tracks. On songs, like the impossibly named Today Is The Tomorrow That They Promised Yesterday and the squarely danceable Control, the synth takes the lead. The weird broken rhythm of When They Put Me Back Together They Forgot To Turn Me On, and the strangely joyful Cure-like My Streets Are Always In The Shade see them broaden their range, providing two album highlights.
Recorded and produced by the band, with mixes by Victor Van Vugt (PJ Harvey, Athlete), the sound is still Scanners. Yet they have moved on. Love Is Symmetry seems more urgent, the rhythms more complex, but still the love of strong melody is there on every track.
Scanners have released two albums via Dim Mak Records (Bloc Party, Atari Teenage Riot, Steve Aoki) and their songs have soundtracked many a dramatic twist on TV shows such as Shameless, Gossip Girl, Entourage and One Tree Hill. They have also shared stages with Laura Marling, Devo, Air, The Horrors, Asobi Seksu, Florence And The Machine and These New Puritans amongst many others.
The first single off the album- Control is out on the 3rd of June.
