Clone Quartet: Clone Quartet - 'Carousel' Out Now posted
28 May 2007
Belfast's greatest new musical sensations Clone Quartet drop their debut single today. 'Carousel' / 'Played To Death' is available on two limited edition formats (CD and 7" vinyl), each featuring special card sleeves built by the band themselves.
Both formats are limited to a run of 500 copies apiece and have been selling like the delicious proverbial hotcakes they are. Click on the 'Shop' link on our website for full details. Here's just a small fraction of the praise those lovely press bods have been spouting their way:
"If Arcade Fire actually got around to writing a song with hooks and pop melody... they would have a hard time competing with Clone Quartet." - ARTROCKER
"Reason enough to rhyme foursome with awesome." - BBC ATL
"A stomping beat that almost buzzes under the weight of its angry tension… Bring the (highly-tuneful, electro) noise!" - 8/10 - DROWNED IN SOUND
"A swirling, fantastical whirlpool of electronica that nimbly lifts the spirits and encourages a skip in any would be listener." - MUSIC-NEWS.COM
The band will be back in mainland UK for a full week tour beginning on the 30th June. Full details to be announced soon. Their debut album 'Well-Oiled Machine' is scheduled for release on 6th August through Tigertrap/Smalltown America and really is beyond fantastic. |
