After gracing In The City in Manchester this Sunday at the Night & Day (2pm), Wojtek will be speeding back to London to prepare for his Single Launch Party at The Old Blue Last on Monday evening (22nd October).

He'll be playing main support at 9.15PM to Chauffeur Driven Aviator, so make sure you're down relatively early.

The single release has been pushed back one week to 29th October and will be available on a delightful 7" and also via all the usual digital retailers. Here are some of the kind words that we've had in so far:

"One of the most unusual songs you will hear all year and love." - 8/10 - COMFORT COMES

"A stirring, chest beating anthem that's part Polish folk song and part Arcade Fire string loveliness." - SOUNDS XP

"Wojtek Godzisz shows himself again as an uber talented writer with a voice as rough and brutal as any haggered great." - THE PLASTIC ASHTRAY

"This is an excellent single to listen to now that winter’s coming and we’re all cold and a tad angry." - I SHOT THE DEPUTY

"Godzisz has a fantastic single on his hands... To put it simply, a thrill." - THE HORN

"Like Arcade Fire as conducted by Tim Burton" - 8/10 - LAUNCHPAD

Wojtek Godzisz will follow up his debut EP ‘Burning Ideals’ with a new single on 22nd October. ‘The Moon And The Yew Tree’ will be available on a run of 500 limited edition 7” singles, as well as through the usual digital retailers.

Woj spent a few days in July in the studio with producer Russ Keffert (The Rakes, Clinic, Larrikin Love) and the results are, we hope you’ll agree, pretty darn spectacular. You can listen to the track now on our MP3 player over to your right and pre-order from our Shop page. Also, check out the amazing video, directed by Matthew Sanger, below!

The single is backed with another brand new song ‘Time Of The Wolf’. Go see Wojtek soon at one of his upcoming gigs:
