| Scanners formed seven years ago in London’s Camden Town. Having written several albums worth of songs and becoming frustrated with not being able to move on they decided to make their first album themselves. The result was ‘Violence Is Golden’ which was recorded in the bedrooms of different flats as they moved around the city.
Following their initial release in 2006, Scanners have since been featured on popular television shows including Gossip Girl, Shameless, One Tree Hill, Entourage and a live performance on The Carson Daly Show. Along with their features on television shows, the band has also supported acts worldwide including The Horrors, Devo, The Mystery Jets, Silversun Pickups, Forward Russia, The Wedding Present, Juliette Lewis And The Licks, Electric Six and The Charlatans.
After two years of silence, Scanners return this year, with their forthcoming LP 'Love Is Symmetry'. The 2013 release will be their third full-length release following 2010's 'Submarine'. |
